Press Release

Northwest becomes Delta

April 1, 2009
On Tuesday, April 7th, the Northwest Airlines ticket counter will become Delta Air Lines and marks the end of nearly 62 years of service to Gallatin Field by Northwest Airlines. The first Northwest Airlines flight at Gallatin Field was on June 22, 1947. On behalf of all of us at the Gallatin Airport Authority we wish a fond farewell to Northwest Airlines and a thank you to all the Northwest employees who have worked at Gallatin Field over the past 62 years. Over the next month, our homepage will pay tribute to the airline that brought commercial air service to southwest Montana.
