Press Release

Airport Director Candidates

April 2, 2009
With the May 31 retirement of our long-time Airport Director, Ted Mathis, the Gallatin Airport Authority has been involved in a search for a replacement. Out of an initial group of over 200 applicants, the Airport Board has selected four finalists who will be interviewed on April 9 at 12:30 PM at the Gallatin Field terminal during the board meeting.

The final four candidates are:
• John Faulkner, Assistant Airport Director Colorado Springs, CO.
• Greg Phillips, Assistant Airport Director Missoula, MT.
• Brian Sprenger, Assistant Airport Director Bozeman, MT.
• David Ulane, Assistant Airport Director Aspen, CO.

Prior to this public Board interview, two public “meet and greet” sessions will offer an opportunity for the public to talk to the candidates and provide input to the Board. The first will be at Arlin’s Aircraft Service on Gallatin Field, April 8 at 10:00 AM and the second in the Bridger Room at the Airport Terminal at 5:30 PM.

We encourage the public to participate in this part of the selection process of our new Airport Director.
