Airside Duty Manager

Landon Burgwin

Landon hails from Cambridge, Maryland and first began visiting Montana as a young boy.  When he first set eyes on the Bozeman area, he told his parents “this is where I want to live when I grow up.”

In 2001, he began studying at Montana State University in Bozeman toward a degree in Weather and Climate.  A few years later, he decided to switch to an Associate’s Degree program in Aviation Technology via Gallatin College and was in the inaugural graduating class in 2007.  Over the next two years, he attended Auburn University in Alabama to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management.  During his time at MSU he worked as a line service technician for both Fixed Based Operators at the BZN airport, in addition to flight instructing, and he continued to flight instruct and fly professionally for two years while attending Auburn University.

Upon graduation, Landon completed an internship with the Grand Junction Regional Airport in Colorado and developed a passion for the airport environment in its entirety.  After his internship, he continued on in aviation with Signature Flight Support at the SUS and STL airports and eventually landed back in Bozeman as a manager with Signature Flight Support (aka: Yellowstone Jetcenter) at the BZN airport.

In 2017, Landon was hired as the Airside Operations Duty Manager with the Gallatin Airport Authority.  He currently resides in Belgrade, MT with his wife, Lisa, and a boisterous Chocolate Lab named “Ghillie”.
