In 1996, the year Larry began working for the Gallatin Airport Authority, BZN handled just under 400,000 passengers, the airport had no tower and the terminal had just been expanded from 40,000 square feet to approximately 60,000 square feet. Today, we will see 2021 handle just under 2,000,000 passengers, an air traffic control tower handling approximately 117,000 annual operations and the terminal is now over 270,000 square feet. In addition, BZN has grown from the third busiest airport in the state to the busiest.
"Throughout all of this change, Larry has been a tremendous part of our maintenance team ensuring a safe and efficient airport for the travelers of Southwest Montana," Brian Sprenger, Airport Director said. "Twenty-five years with the same employer is rare and all of us at BZN have been fortunate to have Larry part of our team."
"Your hard work and dedication to GAA has truly been valued and appreciated over the years. Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary, you are the 'Iron Man' of the airport!" Paul Schneider, Assistant Director of Operations, remarked.
