Let's get REAL about the REAL ID requirements effective May 7, 2025

A REAL ID compliant license will display a gold star in the upper right-hand corner of the ID. 

Obtaining a REAL ID is not a requirement, however, travelers with a standard issued Montana Driver's License must provide alternative identification options such as a passport or passport card in order to fly.
