Construction at BZN
during 2022 continued at a record pace to further support increased passenger
and aircraft traffic. An $8 million expansion of the pay parking lot
added nearly 40% more stalls allowing BZN to now accommodate over 3,500
vehicles. Along with parking lot improvements, BZN expanded the arrivals curb
by nearly 300% in order to better accommodate peak arrival times. Inside the
terminal, construction of the new $23 million in-line baggage handling system
is underway with completion set for summer 2023. On the airside, BZN
rehabilitated and expanded the terminal apron to accommodate three additional
737-900 aircraft. BZN also completed a new ramp, roadway, and infrastructure on
the north side of the airport to serve our thriving and award-winning flight
schools.
BZN is the seventh busiest
airport in the 7-state Northwest Region of the country (region including
Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington) and the 92nd busiest
airport in the nation in terms of passengers.
