Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport 2026 Enplanement Projections

2026 Projections info & chart displaying monthly breakdowns
BOZEMAN, MT (March 13, 2026) Based on current projections, we anticipate that BZN will enplane approximately 1,485,151 passengers in 2026 which would be another record. The projected 5.6% growth represents an increase of 79,124 enplanements over the previous annual record set in 2025.

Calendar year 2025 enplanements surpassed the previous record set in 2024 by 84,566 passengers. The 1,406,027 passengers was nearly 1.6% higher than the 1,384,080 we projected on March 6, 2025. The increase was due to several factors including increased competition in several markets including Seattle, Chicago and Boston. The June through October 2025 performance was particularly strong. For the rest of the year, we saw a maturing market with more moderate growth.

Factors that will positively impact BZN in 2026 include summer season inbound travel demand and new competition in the San Diego market between Alaska and Southwest, new service to Phoenix (PHX) on American and Austin (AUS) on Delta. Other markets where we expect to see growth, especially during the summer period include Chicago, Atlanta and the New York City area. We anticipate that competition will mature in the Seattle market with Delta and Alaska right sizing after a year of having both in the market. Finally, we are also closely watching economic and international factors that have been under stress the past year. Therefore, we continue to give a range of expectation to highlight the variables that may impact our market during 2026. That being said, we remain relatively bullish on our market and continue to expect BZN to be one of the fastest growing airports in the nation. We hope these projections by airport management will give some guidance for calendar year 2026 expectations, however, all projections are based on the information available as of March 10, 2026 and could change throughout the year.
